ALLOTMENT . . .
I'm pleased to announce that I will be curating PLOT 9 of MAC Birmingham's Allotment exhibition. The show contains 10 'plots' which are being curated by artists and organisations from across the West Midlands. There is even a shed to run workshops from! I will be using the space to showcase some of my favourite Shropshire artist and designers. PLOT 9 will include work by R&A Collaborations, Hayley Robinson, Sophie Copage, Christophe Dillinger, Ella Ruth Cowperthwaite, Beth Fletcher, Pam Newall, Richard Foot, Julie Hedges, Millbank & Foot, and a few others.

Lino Printing .....
Millbank and Foot are currently designing a digitally printed scarf for a competition. To go alongside drawn elements of the design we experimented with lino cutting to create textures based on studies of sports equipment. We had a lot of fun playing and making these designs and hope to do some more soon.....

Catalogue . . .
With thanks to the aid of Arron Fowler the new catalogue is available for your viewing pleasure. I also owe a lot to the fabulous Ella Ruth Cowperthwaite for her beautiful styling images which were taken last month and to my brother Richard for letting me use his polaroid series 'Journey'. If you'd like to purchase a scarf then orders are now being taken for the Autumn and limited sample stock is available now.

Sarah Molins . . .
On Saturday I went to a fantastic symposium organised by Meadow Arts, the group responsible for putting on the House of Beasts exhibition at Attingham Park. What I found thoroughly interesting was a talk by one of the artists Sarah Molins, who's work had totally passed me by in the exhibition. Her piece is actually viewable online so I thought I would share the link with you. Based on the colourful history of one of Attinghams past residents I find the story and the site most intriguing. See what you think . . .

Stewart Easton . . .
I recently came across Stewart Easton's print and stitch work at an exhibition in mac Birmingham and totally feel in love.
'Using folk song and story as a starting point Easton weaves story-based narratives, utilising the space of a single panel to explore time, movement and transition within his tapestry based works.'
The pieces he had on display were a combination of digital print and hand embroidery. Heres a few examples of his work . . .
